Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we handle when you use www.sleep-test.org. It also explains your choices and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Norwegian privacy law.
- What we handle: When you finish the test, we store a system-generated ID and a summary of your answers so you can reopen the report. We do not ask for your name or email address. Security logs may include your IP address and technical events. We use these logs to run the service and prevent misuse.
- Why we use data and the legal basis: We run and secure the service based on legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We use analytics and advertising technologies only if you give valid consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Norwegian electronic communications law, Section 3-15, also applies when technology stores or reads information on your device.
- Storage and deletion: Test IDs and result summaries are stored only as long as needed for the purpose, or until deletion is requested. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
- Who may receive data: We use service providers to host and run the site. If you consent to analytics or advertising, Google may receive data as an independent or joint data controller, depending on the setup. Data may be handled outside the European Economic Area under relevant transfer safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
- School use and children: The service can be used without registration. Please do not enter names or other directly identifying data in free-text fields (if such fields are introduced later).
- Cookies and consent: We use necessary technology to make the service work. In regions requiring consent, analytics and advertising measurement stays off until you agree through Google’s consent tool. Elsewhere, we follow applicable opt-outs. You can change your choice in Cookie settings when the tool is available.
- Your rights: Where the law applies, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data. You can also ask for data portability or object to our use of data. Email kontor@dmz.no. You may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
- Changes: We may update this policy when needed. Material changes will be published here with an updated date.
Google services and your choices
On the published site, Google's AdSense consent tool offers choices about advertising and measurement. If you agree, Google may receive your page visits, interactions, approximate location, device and browser information and cookie identifiers for measurement and advertising, including ad optimization. We do not send your sleep answers, report ID, name or email to Google Analytics. Your choice is recorded by Google's consent tool; you can change it using Cookie settings at the bottom of this page when that tool is available. In regions requiring consent, measurement stays off unless your choice permits it. Outside those regions, applicable opt-outs still apply.
Your latest choice controls whether measurement runs. You can return to Cookie settings to change it. Consent records should preserve the notice and choice history needed to demonstrate what visitors accepted, even after a later withdrawal.
